Just got a phone call notifying us that FERC has approved APCo's request to immediately begin raising the lake level to 483' and hold until the normal refill schedule matches 483'--from then on, the normal refill schedule will be followed. The guy at FERC got it done--thanks to APCo and FERC.

I should have mentioned that the approval also allows the downstream releases from Martin Dam to be reduced from 1200 Cubic Feet per second to 350 cfs which will allow the lake to rise even with the drought we're experiencing.
