Romney is solid even though I fear he is a RINO and will be weak on Obamacare

Perry is very weak in terms of his ability to debate and his answers....he will continue to drop in the polls and lots of conservatives will not like his answers on immigration, social security, etc.

Huntsman and Ron Paul cannot be trusted on national security and absolutely scare me

I continue to like Gingrich, Santorum, Cain and Bachman but none are gaining traction.  Newt is by far the smartest guy in the stage.

Gary Johnson is just a nut and for the life of me I can't understand why he is there.

Any one of them would be a huge improvement over Oblamer!

Here is my take Romney IS a Rino Perry will immediately hire a new debate coach so that he can better articulate his conservative record and accompanying accomplishment as Governor. Huntsman and Paul should lead a third party ticket in 2016, or 2020. Gingrich has a high level role to play in the Perry Administration. Johnsons line about shovel ready was one for the ages. Cain won tonight. Bachman lost. Santorum supported Spector over Pat Toomey, and is still angry about his 2006 defeat. Each one does more in their current limited role for the US than the zerO. Any one of them would be better for the US of A than the statist creep we have today. 490 days left in the bho administration

I have liked Newt Gingrich from the get go. He is the smartest one of the bunch and knows foreign affairs better than the rest and he is a historian, plus knows his way around due to experience and I don't think he will try to satisfy everyone but get the job done. Although any of them would be better than what we have.

Recognizing that Romney is a RINO, I am not sure I agree with your take on Perry. This is an ABO (anybody but Oblamer) election and it is more important that we nominate a candidate that can beat him rather than seeking ideological purity. I am just not sure Perry is that guy. Remember, Huckabee and Romney split the conservative vote in 2008 and we were left with McCain. This was his 3rd debate and if anything he is worse than the first two. He just may not have the mental quickness to be a good debater. That is not to say he isn't intelligent but lots of very intelligent people do not possess the ability to think quickly on their feet which is essential in a debate. The personal touch and ads will only go so far and to beat Oblamer he has to be at least adequate in the debates. He is far removed from adequate right now. We will see how he does in future debates. I would say I don't like his answers on in-state tuition for illegals. It is offensive to me to be called heartless because I don't want an illegal alien to get a $100K tuition break in Texas that a citizen from another state can't get. I also disagree with his assertion that you can have enough people on a 1,200 mile border to prevent illegals from crossing. But I don't like Romney's attacks of Perry on social security. He can make his point without the attacks but such is the life of being a former front runner.

ABO is the key. I agree that electability is the test and we must do everything required to make zerO a three and out prez. I certainly would like to see a person with a fiscally conservative tilt, an accomplished record, an understanding of free markets with a Reagan approach based on Austrian Economic Theory, with the onions to take on the entrenched federal bureaucracy. Perry comes closest to fitting my template for the role. Short here, sticks out there but closest fit. Romney leaves gaps all the way around. I am not attacking him by any means, just saying Perry more closely represents what I think we need now.
