I hope Martha's Vineyard, Bohemian Grove or Malibu contain the first neighborhoods they use as proving grounds for this new policy. Everyone can "feel proud" to live there until they become like hells kitchen or some other lovely spot that the cops are afraid to go into.

Here's what these bureaucrats don't understand......it is not racial segregation that has occurred, it is socioeconomic segregation. Just read Charles Murray's fantastic book, "Coming Apart" for a real education. Race doesn't matter as the educated, successful blacks and Hispanics bail out as readily as the whites and Asians. Who doesn't want to live in a safe neighborhood with good schools regardless of the color of their skin? Answer? No one. That's why my East Cobb neighborhood has all races living here with the one commonality, income levels. All these guilty white liberals that choose to live in areas with lousy schools and high crime are just plain stupid. And likewise, attempts to move economically challenged families into areas where they cannot afford to live is likewise stupid. The best thing we can do for them is to educate them properly, promote traditional family structures, stop letting men get away without any responsibility for the babies they make and making young women understand that the best way out of poverty is to finish high school without getting pregnant, getting married and then having children. Of course it is easier said than done, especially trying to undo 50 years of destructive liberal policies and programs and the brainwashing of govt schools.

Atlantic Station!! As I recall sales were very steady until it was announced that a percentage of the housing had to be section 8, then they could not sell any more to the upper incomes that was the original target of the developers.

Similar to the doctrine that is ruining education, now we will have “Equal Outcome” for housing. And guess who pays.

"Program participants will also assess whether laws, policies, or practices limit fair housing choice, as well as the role of public investments in creating, perpetuating, or alleviating the segregation patterns revealed by the assessment. Examples of such laws, policies, or practices include, but are not limited to, zoning, land use, financing, infrastructure planning, and transportation."
