I grew up going to lake Martin. I haven't been there in a while. I hope to get back this summer to visit relatives.
Would someone please post something useful for people headed that way that haven't been yet this year, instead of all of the complaining about each other?

Good alias. I was down at the lake this past weekend - looks about as good as it gets. Virtually full pool and the water is clear. Still a little cool for swimming even though PP and some of the wet suit gang might have a different view. Fair amount of boat traffic so I guess the price of gas isn't bothering folks too much.

If you grew up on the lake it will look as pretty now as it did then. A few extra marinas here and there but the water is as clear as always, full as always, and beautiful as always. Last year with the drought was a reality check for what a great resource we so often take for granted. Water is cold as mentioned....da boys ain't ready for that yet. Ol' turtle head runs for cover. :-)

Thanks "Guys". I appreciate all the info I can get. Early eighties, I spent time near Sand Island, now I have family at Marina Marin. If only I could live there (Oh to dream!).

No complaning here! The lake is beautiful and clearer than we have seen it in a couple of years. Have a fab time on the lake!
