We're bringing a group of friends to the lake for Memorial Day in a few weeks and there will be two children. The driver of the boat is not a drinker but not sure of the laws if an open container on the boat with a child under 12 on board. Not a big drinker but didn't want to face any problems if one of the passengers is having a beer with the boat ride. Any thoughts?

Asked the same question last year...you are fine as long as the driver isn't drinking and the 12 year old isn't drinking.

Just make sure your boat is equipped with a life jacket that is appropriate to the weight of each child on board. It is a holiday weekend and is not the norm flow of boats on the lake. Can get rather crazy near the rock and ridge area with big wake. There is a great swing in the last cove to left before the dam across from Goats Island. Have a good time.
