After last year ... and the lake dropping close to 6 feet below winter pool, this year looked hopeless. I was just hoping the lake would get high enough to have a few good weeks of enjoyment this year and then possibly recover next year.

Well with a little help from mother nature and the great lake level management at Alabama Power they started to bring the level up in December, then in January we picked up 1.5 feet, but were still 3.3 feet "below" winter pool. But then in February the lake came up 7.6 feet (amazing), and anothe 5 feet so far in March. While we are technically not at full pool, it sure feels like it and the beauty of Lake Martin is back.

I am especially happy for all the businesses that depend on the lake for their living.
